“Without education, I would have been in the village with eight or ten wives!” – HH. We choose to disagree and this is why!
Lusaka, May 13 – We don’t think polygamy among the Tonga people or any tribe in Africa, as a tradition, stems from lack of education but for a person like Mr. Hichilema who has been TRAINED and NOT EDUCATED, we are not surprised.
The purpose of the training that Mr. Hichilema went through, unlike education, was not meant to develop a critical thinking mind that would help one understand the objective limits to the advancement of individual and collective welfare, but to condition one to accept and live with one’s social economic development challenges.
This distorted “Education”, which was meant to crop a docile African who would NEVER raise a finger against his colonisers meant, in effect, detaching an African mind from reality.
This is why Mr. Hichilema would leave his important SADC responsibilities, as Head of State of a country that liberated the SADC region, to go and be in the crowd of children from a lesser God at the coronation ceremony of one of the sons of our colonial masters. How sadder can it ever get?

In his closed mind, even our debt with China requires the intervention of his sponsors to be restructured.
One of his advisors at State House has admitted in his latest article, that we carried yesterday, that he would never get the opportunity he’s getting from Mr. Hichilema back home in South Africa.
Is he saying Mr. Hichilema is smarter than the South African government that understands the full scale of the hypocrisy of a white man?
“I wish I could be part of a similar process in my own country. I wish the South African government, obsessed with race and identity politics, do not see Dr. Mills and I as part of big business, a sector perceived as an enemy of the state, especially when it speaks out against incompetence and corruption,” writes Hulme Scholes.

To those seeing us for the first time today but are patriots who share our beliefs and principles that democracy and development must be driven by Zambians, please remember to follow our social media network. We need a radical change of mindset to develop Zambia.

Putting news into perspective
The President did not discuss the Tonga people; rather, he referred to himself using a figure of speech. The issue with the PF party is their significant failure to differentiate between an individual and their ethnicity. Due to Hakainde Hichilema’s desire to run for public office, his entire ethnic group, religion, and even his ranching business were subjected to harmful stereotypes.
It is all about NEO COLONIALISM
Tonga people deserve art of polygamist,it has nothing to do with white man’s civilization, take another example being cattle keepers is wrong among Tongas, some did not have that Education talked about. My advice is that earthly achievement close up at some point.
Polygamy has been there from time in memorial. In the Bible Abraham our father the friend of God, Israel,Moses, David, Solomon,The father of prophet Samuel all were polygamous. If my father had not been a polygamist I would not have been here today.president Hichilema missed the point
I agree with you. I do not agree that it was God’s desire for one man to have one woman. Take any five homes. Count the number of boys and girls in each home. And God created all of us?
I love the way editorial team critically analyze issues especially how you have responded to President Hichilema’s statement on polygamy Vs education. I am also love the use of palatable language but still deliver your point in a respectable disagreeing with the President. Kindly avail the editor’s number on my WhatsApp number +260955660000.

Good!
A critical look at our backgrounds will surely bring it to the fore that most of us were born from polygamous families and had it not been for such arrangements we were not going to be here contributing to national development in our various units…At the end of the day,let us embrace the life style of polygamy and NOT LGBTQ
