It’s funny how people who never even had respect for the Head of State when they were in opposition now want to force everyone to be Hakainde Hichilema’s bootlicker.
Lusaka, May 20 – Hakainde Hichilema must distance himself from the childish behaviour of his Minister, Elisha Matambo, or the issue of political rhetoric and no action will forever stick.
Irrespective of what transpired, what’s wrong with the Kitwe Mayor, in her private capacity as a Patriotic Front member and a Member of the Central Committee, for that matter, criticising Hakainde Hichilema who is actually doing a very bad job advancing the interests of the Oppenheimer family of South Africa through the Brenthurst Foundation at the expense of the overall wellbeing of an ordinary child in rural Zambia?
How many people have died from curable diseases since Hakainde Hichilema appointed his incompetent cadre as Minister of Health, who has ensured that even panadol today is a rare commodity in public health institutions?
Should Zambians be celebrating such levels of lack of leadership on the part of Hakainde Hichilema?
Leadership is the ability to identify and put those with the technical know-how and ability in key positions needing such expertise. Can you say Hakainde Hichilema possesses the necessary leadership required to be Head of State?
That was highly unprofessional from a Senior Government Minister. Such unverified issues should be discussed behind closed doors. Matambo has just compromised the personal security of the Mayor and her immediate family.
There’s an urgent need for Hakainde Hichilema to prove, based on this very incident, that his pronouncements about democracy and the rule of law are indeed not just political rhetoric by ensuring that Matambo is disciplined.
It’s funny how people who never even had respect for the Head of State when they were in opposition now want to force everyone to be Hakainde Hichilema’s bootlicker.
Zambia is a Constitutional democracy and not a Chiefdom so Matambo, please keep your childish behaviour to your wife and kids who are likely to respect you even when you don’t deserve it.
