Lusaka, June 27 – Lusaka Resident Magistrate Mbuywana Naiza Sinvula has committed Chris Zumani Zimba and 3 others to the High Court.
Zimba and his co-accused, Marlone Banda, Potipher Gwai, and Given Phiri are remanded in custody and will be transferred to Lusaka Remand Prison.
The four have also appealed their request for court bail and the matter is before the Appeals Court.
Earlier in the day, they appeared in the Lusaka Magistrate Court. The matter came up for allocation and explanation of the charge.
The Principal Resident Magistrate then allocated the matter to Resident Magistrate, Mbuywana Naiza Sinvula.

Zimba with his co-accused were charged and arrested with the offense of terrorism and proliferation of articles of terrorism under Section 25 of the Anti-Terrorism and Non-Proliferation Act of 2018 as amended in 2023, which offences are capital offenses.
