Edgar Chagwa Lungu has taken on the role of the puppet-master, expertly manipulating his opponents through his carefully crafted financial trap.
Lusaka, July 17 – Once upon a time, in the realm of Zambia resided a cunning ruler named Edgar Chagwa Lungu, renowned for his expertise in political manipulation. With a sly grin and honeyed words, he orchestrated a master plan to weaken his contenders financially, only to emerge stronger than ever before.
Feeling the urge to consolidate his power, Lungu proclaimed his resignation from politics, leaving the citizens perplexed and intrigued. Speculation spread like wildfire, as whispers floated through the corridors of Zambia, questioning the true motives behind this calculated move.
To prolong his influence in the shadows, Lungu meticulously handpicked a caretaker Vice President and Secretary General, who dutifully served as his silent pawns while masquerading as independent actors. The people, torn between ambiguity and curiosity, wondered who truly held the strings of power.
News of the vacant throne spread like wildfire, igniting a feverish desire within ambitious contenders to seize the opportunity. With dreams of ruling Zambia fueling their hearts, they embarked on extravagant campaigns, investing fortunes to gather support. Yet, they remained blissfully unaware of Lungu’s sinister gambit.
With a villainous smirk, Lungu deliberately postponed the election, prolonging the financial drain on his adversaries. The battle of contenders turned into a grueling war of attrition, as their once mighty war chests dwindled to naught. Each passing day, their hopes weakened, their resources depleted, all while Lungu reveled in his malevolent scheme.
Meanwhile, Lungu enlisted the aid of the infamous Chilufya Tayali, a troubadour of manipulation, to propagate the mesmerizing tune titled “Alebwelelapo.” Tempted by Lungu’s generous offerings, influencers and opinion leaders shamelessly sang the deceitful melody, further entangling the web of manipulation.
Adding fuel to the fire, Lungu’s accomplice, Lubinda Habazoka, amplified the pro-Alebwelelapo movement, adding to the confusion plaguing the presidential candidates. Their minds spun in disarray, unable to comprehend how they fell victim to Lungu’s intricate trap.
