If you don’t learn critical thinking, then political debates degenerate into a contest of slogans. You have been cowed into supporting people for the reasons you DON’T KNOW!
Lusaka, Nov. 12 – My name is Mpandashalo Evans Mwewa. I am a certified journalist, not a blogger! My analyses and commentaries promote critical thinking, and, please, pay attention! Any civilized discourse demands critical thinking, self-reflexiveness, sober-headed analysis.

I am urging the nation to understand that Critical Thinking is not something you do once with an issue and then drop it. It requires that we update our knowledge as new information comes in. Time spent evaluating claims is not just time well spent. It should be considered part of an implicit bargain we’ve all made.
We are approaching a new age of synthesis. Knowledge cannot be merely a degree or a skill. It demands a broader vision, capabilities in critical thinking and logical deduction without which we cannot have constructive progress.
I believe, as Mpandashalo Mwewa, that every single college student should study philosophy. You need to lead the examined life and question your beliefs. If you don’t learn critical thinking, then political debate degenerates into a contest of slogans.
Sorry to say this but most of our citizens have been cowed into supporting people for the reasons they DON’T KNOW! They are stupid!
