During this important engagement, we informed the Egyptian delegation that following our PPP benchmarking visit to Cairo, Egypt recently, where we extended an invitation to the private sector in that country to come an invest in Zambia through PPP, there have been some positive developments.
Following that invitation, some Egyptian investors have already shown interest in investing in the Mutanda-Jimbe Road, Mutanda-Kasempa Road, and the construction of a rail line from Nseluka to Mpulungu.

This is an indication that our visit to Egypt as the PPP Council is beginning to bear fruits, and it is an endorsement that our idea to prioritize rehabilitation of critical but commercially viable roads using the PPP model of financing is the right way to go.
