Kitwe, May 29 – President Hakainde Hichilema has passionately urged Zambians to embrace hard work as a driving force for change and national progress.
Speaking at the Copperbelt Mining, Agricultural, and Industrial Trade Expo (CAMINEX) in Kitwe, he emphasized the pivotal role of diligence in advancing both individual prosperity and national development.

Aligning with this year’s CAMINEX theme, “Unlocking Opportunities for Economic Growth: Zambia’s Landlinked Position,” Hichilema emphasized Zambia’s strategic geographical location and its potential for intra-trade and investment, achievable through partnerships and hard work.
He also stressed the need to exploit Zambia’s advantageous regional position for economic benefit and advocated for strategic partnerships to unlock the nation’s economic potential.

Patriotism doesn’t entail blind support for the President but rather endorsing him only as long as he effectively serves the nation.
Additionally, he reaffirmed his commitment to revitalizing the mining sector, particularly Konkola Copper Mine (KCM), for the benefit of the Copperbelt residents and the nation at large.
Hichilema urged collective efforts from Copperbelt residents in revitalizing the mining sector and encouraged learning from developed countries to enhance Zambia’s economic strategies and outcomes.
He emphasized economic diversification as essential for sustainable economic growth and urged Zambians to use the mining sector as a blueprint for developing other industries to ensure a balanced and resilient economy.
