I had a wonderful breakfast ‘throwback’ this morning with H.E. Filipe Jacinto Nyusi, the President of the Republic of Mozambique, who is currently in our country on a State Visit.

Lusaka, June 29 – President Nyusi and I share a personal and professional relationship that dates to 2014 when both of us were Ministers of Defence of our respective countries.
In 2015, I was privileged to be elected sixth president of Zambia. Later President Nyusi was also elected fourth President of the republic of Mozambique. He is scheduled to retire next year after diligently serving his country.
During our meeting this morning with his wonderful wife, Madam Isaura Nyusi, we discussed various issues that are important not just to our respective countries but also for the greater good of our SADC community and continent.
‘Viagens seguras’ H.E. Nyusi as you travel back home. Until we meet again, my brother!
