The time has come for a fundamental shift in our approach to governance. Hichilema is right, Zambia cannot afford to be led by hyenas any longer!

Lusaka, Aug. 14 – In the wild, hyenas are notorious scavengers, creatures that feed off the hard work of others. They wait in the shadows, ready to pounce and steal what they have not earned. Unfortunately, in our political landscape, we often witness the rise of leaders who resemble these scavengers, feasting on the efforts of hardworking Zambians while contributing little to the nation’s progress.

These politicians, driven by self-interest and a hunger for power, undermine the very foundations of our democracy. They prioritize personal gain over the collective good, leaving the people to suffer the consequences of their greed. How else can you explain Miles Sampa scavenging of the Patriotic Front? This is a warning we must heed – Zambia cannot afford to be led by scavengers any longer.
The time has come for a fundamental shift in our approach to governance. We must reject the politics of patronage, where loyalty is bought with favours and development is sacrificed at the altar of political convenience. Instead, we must advocate for a home-bred governance system that places the needs of the people above all else.
This system should be rooted in transparency, accountability, and a genuine commitment to the development of our nation. It should prioritize policies that uplift the lives of ordinary citizens, not just the interests of the political elite. To achieve this, we need leaders who are dedicated to serving the people, not scavenging from them.
The future of Zambia lies in the hands of its citizens. We must demand more from our leaders, refusing to settle for those who would steal from us like hyenas in the night.
Let us build a political landscape where development, progress, and the well-being of the people take precedence over self-serving politics. It is only through such a commitment that Zambia can rise to its full potential, free from the clutches of scavengers who seek to exploit our nation’s resources for their own gain.
The call to action is clear: we must unite in our pursuit of a better Zambia, where leadership is earned through service, not scavenging.
