Diego Cassili has put up K100,000 reward to unmask elusive critic Abyud Mubanga, suspected to be a puppet of the infamous Koswe.
Lusaka, Dec. 26 – In a bold move reminiscent of a high-stakes game show, Diego Cassili, the illustrious proprietor of Lusaka Shopping Malls, has thrown down the gauntlet in the ongoing battle against anonymous online critics. Breaking the silence on the increasingly murky waters of pseudo-journalism, Cassili has offered a cash reward of K100,000 for information leading to the identity of the elusive Abyud Mubanga Esq. This not-so-esteemed character has, with great flair, penned numerous articles aimed at tarnishing Cassili’s reputation, largely in retaliation for the latter’s critique of President Hakainde Hichilema’s administration.

Mubanga’s writings have become a source of entertainment for some while being a thorn in the flesh of Cassili. He decries the so-called East Park Mall Scandal and has audaciously titled his latest masterpiece “A Fishy East Park 50-Year Deal.” In an impressive demonstration of literary acrobatics, this phantom author manages to link Cassili’s enterprise with “exploitation and corruption” while simultaneously sparing no pen for critics of the opposition.
Rumours abound that Mubanga is merely an avatar for Koswe, the infamous attack-dog of State House, tasked with dishing out disinformation under the protective cloak of anonymity. Notably, this dubious account also channels its energies into flinging mud at opposition figures like former President Edgar Lungu and Dr. Fred M’membe, solidifying its position as a favourite among those who thrive in the shadowy underbelly of politics.
Amb. Emmanuel Mwamba has weighed in with a sharp commentary, questioning why Mubanga, in his apparent quest for truth, fails to reveal his true identity. “If he is man enough, why resort to fake names and concealed platforms?” he rages, pointing fingers at the hypocrisy of this so-called journalist. His frustration resonates as he notes ZICTA’s quietude in pursuing such deceptive practices – perhaps they’re just too busy or simply lacking the appetite to delve into this murky fray.
With Cassili’s newfound crusade to unveil Mubanga now backed by the allure of K100,000 – as if that sum could buy any semblance of integrity – the stakes have been raised. This cash bounty may be the tipping point in transforming the faceless critic into a verifiable entity, making one wonder if money can indeed buy the truth, or at least a seat at the table of accountability.
Ultimately as Cassili continues his quest, the days of Koswe and its masked puppet appear to be numbered. The unfolding drama not only exemplifies the absurdities inherent in modern political discourse but also offers a sardonic reminder that in this digital age, anonymity may not be as protective as one might hope. As Zambia watches with bated breath, the saga of Abyud Mubanga promises to be a comedy of errors, one K100,000 at a time.
