State House used the Judith Kabemba faction to destroy the Harry Kalaba’s DP. The Patriotic Front faces a similar fate as State House sponsors an illegal PF General Conference using Sampa. But will Hichilema again pretend not to be aware?
Lusaka, Oct. 24 – Can the Inspector General of Police allow this circus without the knowledge of his boss when he knows we have a visiting Head of State in the country? In a world where people question their actions, a person like Mr. Hichilema would never be Head of State. This is because in such a world, people would know that just because something isn’t a lie does not mean that it isn’t deceptive.

A liar knows that he is a liar, but one who speaks mere portions of truth in order to deceive, is a craftsman of destruction. It’s at the backdrop of such national hypocrisy that I advocate for a new home bred governance system that must prioritize development over politics of patronage.
In Charles Baudelaire’s book, “Paris Spleen”, there’s this phrase that I would recite as a student of French: “La plus belle des ruses du diable est de vous persuader qu’il n’existe pas.” In English, one would say, “The devil’s finest trick is to persuade you that he does not exist.”
“The devil’s finest trick is to persuade you that he does not exist.”
Politics of deception has taken the centre stage in Zambia and yet we are surprised that things are falling apart. Could it be that being a Christian nation we expect miracles at every stage, planting lemon seeds but expecting orange seedlings?
A man whose words are carpeted while his actions go to sleep is not a person to put in the highest office of the land. It’s the same as poisoning the source of a river but still expecting to have safe drinking water downstream.
President Hakainde Hichilema may have remained mute over a leaked audio recording that exposed top UPND officials, Joseph Akafumba and Levy Ngoma, raping democracy, trying to arm-twist the, then, ECZ’s Chief Executive Officer, Patrick Nshindano over the Democratic Party’s participation in the Kabwata by-election, the nation knows the truth.
And instead of attending to the exposed scandal by firing the two snakes, Mr. Hichilema’s government chose to harass the whistleblower. Does that sound like we are being governed by people who have respect for the rule of law?
Permanent Secretary, Akafumba and Presidential Aide for Politics, Ngoma, could be heard discussing how they were finding it difficult to convince the, then, ECZ Chief Executive Officer, Nshindano, to agree with them in executing their plot against the, then, Harry Kalaba led Democratic Party.
In the course of their conversation, Levy Ngoma implicated President Hakahinde Hichilema and Vice President Mutale Nalumango whom he claimed had summoned him over the matter after the swearing in ceremony and he needed to report back to them. This certainly explained why the scandal died a natural death, leaving President Hakainde Hichilema to continue with his circus of being a democrat.
A Senior Aide to President Hakainde Hichilema remained the main sponsor and architect of the Judith Kabemba and Justin Nkonge led faction that was hired to destabilize the Democratic Party and eventually brought the party to its knees as the party leader got enough of it and registered a new party. Now that’s Mr. Hakainde Hichilema for you.
It has been established that the Zambia Police have advised President Hakainde Hichilema to cancel Miles Sampa’s sponsored conference. Miles Sampa applied for a permit last night to host his illegal PF General Conference at Mulungushi International Conference Center and as a basis to obtain state security, Community House was consulted.
President Hichilema is said to have granted the authority and ordered that Miles Sampa be given security to ensure that he addresses the Conference. However, the Police stated that if there would be any party clashes it would be highly embarrassing for President Hichilema as he had a visiting dignitary in, the President of Tanzania.

A visit to Mulungushi International Conference around 11:30hrs found a few people being registered as delegates by Victor Kapungwe known as Mr. Ground and some state agents.
Crime rates are on a record high and police say they have no manpower to protect people even at church gatherings, but today they have the necessary manpower to protect an illegal gathering. This, unfortunately, is the true picture of President Hakainde Hichilema.
Amos Malupenga, in his book, ‘Levy Patrick Mwanawasa: An incentive for posterity’, quotes the late president as saying;
“The problem Mr. Hichilema has is the fact that he wants to cheat, to mislead, to show that he is what he is not. His understanding of politics is that it doesn’t matter; you can cheat, provided you get your goals!”

The question I wish to leave with is who is Mr. Hakainde Hichilema between the man he says he is and the man he hides? What could be the true reasons he avoids the public gatherings during the Day of National Prayers?
In a world where vows are worthless, where making a pledge means nothing, where promises are made to be broken, it would be nice to see words of a statesman come back into State House.
