Lusaka, Feb. 3 – The Patriotic Front candidate for Councillor at Nakatambo Ward in Chitambo Constituency in Central Province has been rejected by the Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ).
The UPND controlled ECZ has stated that the adoption certificate signed by the Patriotic Front party President, Mr. Edgar Chagwa Lungu, cannot be accepted.

Technically, President Hichilema’s regime has gone against its pre-election pronouncement on the need to uphold the rule of law by recognising an illegal Patriotic Front convention but does President Hichilema think Zambians are that stupid not to understand his under five mingalato?
Everywhere you look, the man is doing the exact opposite of what he promised the people who ignorantly voted for him and he still thinks they will be that stupid to vote for him again in 2026!
Truth will never shine from a heart filled with corruption and lies. President Hichilema must understand that Zambians are now politically awake and won’t be deceived in the manner he waylaid them with his Bally Will Fix It political rhetoric.
Politicians, like President Hichilema, most of the time, want the general public to see only what they want them to see, instead of allowing the general public to really investigate and see what is really there.
They are made to embrace illusions such as “sworn in at 10.00hrs and by 14.00hrs the Kwacha would have gained!” because they present them with the illusions that are embraced by the majority useful idiots, when in truth, these illusions only become popular because they are repeated day in day out by propaganda public media with such an intensity that the mere force disguises the lies.
And like obedient school children, the general public does not question their validity and swallow everything up like medicine. Why? Because since the earliest days of our youth, we have been conditioned to accept that the direction of the herd, and authority anywhere – is always right.

“Repeat a lie often enough and it becomes the truth”, is a law of propaganda. Among psychologists, this is known as the “illusion of truth” effect.
No, if politics is to serve humanity, it should promote democracy and in my view, democracy is under threat under the new dawn government because the regime has prioritized corruption and politics of self preservation over the needs of the majority ordinary citizens.
The most important lesson President Hichilema has taught Zambians is that, the desire to form government must never overshadow the purpose of politics, which is to find practical solutions to our various social economic development challenges.
