Hichilema expects the incoming Minister of Justice to enhance the current frameworks, bolstered by support from her Cabinet colleagues.
Lusaka, June 10 – President Hakainde Hichilema took to Facebook to express his satisfaction with the appointment of the Ministry of Justice’s first female Minister and two female Permanent Secretaries. He notes that it marks a significant advancement for gender equality in government
“This is a significant step forward for gender equality in government, and we hope this inclusiveness will enhance coordination and collaboration within the Ministry. While we recognize the importance of governmental processes, they must not impede the achievement of key deliverables,” reads, in part his statement.

The Head of State further says that he trusts that the new Minister, Hon. Princess Kasune, will build upon existing foundations and expects that her Cabinet colleagues will provide her with the necessary support.
And President Hichilema reiterates that when crucial skills are lacking to enhance government operations, there’s need to readily leverage the diverse talent pool available both locally and within the diaspora.
“Where essential skills are lacking to improve government operations, we must not hesitate to tap into the diverse pool of talent available locally and within the diaspora!” ends his statement.
