Allow me to explain why Zambia needs the minds of the likes of Dr. Chitalu Chilufya, a public health physician who has led the radical transformation of the Zambia national health system in pursuit of Universal Health Coverage, that’s if you understand NHIMA.
Dr. Chitalu Chilufya resonates the thinking of Rwanda’s Paul Kagame who states that Africa possesses all the essential resources in tangible terms, and anything lacking can be obtained through our own means. Yet, we are shackled by the mentality that nothing can progress without foreign aid. We even plead for resources we already own. Dr. Chitalu Chilufya says this is an unequivocal failure of mindset.

We must cut the puppet strings and take the reins ourselves. Only Zambians can truly develop Zambia. If you’ve tracked President Hichilema’s investment moves, they’re all about feathering foreign investors’ nests. Look at the latest Lobito Corridor – it’s just another backdoor for the West to siphon off our mineral wealth.
