There’s nothing wrong with leaving and coming back, the Sun does it every day. Welcome Back!
Lusaka, May 12 – “After a week of over 20 successful meetings & engagements in #England, #Scotland and #France, we’ve departed from London and are heading back home. We’re confident that these engagements will yield positive growth and development for the Zambian people. #EconomicDiplomacy!”
Your Excellency! Please address your cadres who are acting more loyal to you than our country. Tell them that Zambia is bigger than you. You are in charge but you don’t own Zambia.
While we respect you as our current Head of State, we remain firm in our belief that it is our job to seek the truth and put constant pressure on you, our leaders, until we get answers over various issues of national interest. That is what democracy is all about, after all.

The point of journalism is to hold people in positions of power accountable! So we don’t understand why your cadres don’t read the issues we raise but wish to defend you at any cost, and, often times, stupidly. It appears you don’t need them for advice, they just exist in your party as useful idiots.
There’s need for you to preach and inculcate patriotism in your party cadres.
Patriotism does not mean to stand by you Mr. President or any other public figure. It is patriotic to support you, as our President, in as far as you efficiently serve our country. It is unpatriotic not to oppose you to the exact extent you fail in your duty to stand by this nation.
We don’t agree with some of your policy directions and on behalf of the voiceless, we shall speak against them. That does not mean we are against Zambia but a possible danger to our country because you are not infallible.

One thing we can agree on is that as long as we speak the truth, you won’t take us to Ridgeway Police Post, as was the case in the previous regime.
Once again, there’s nothing wrong with leaving and coming back, the sun does it every day. Welcome Back Home!
